About New Haven
New Haven was founded in 1996 by therapists Mark McGregor and Craig LaMont, who set out to create a new kind of treatment program – a robustly staffed, relationally oriented program specifically designed to meet the needs of adolescent girls. Their desire to create a treatment program that was less "institution" and more "haven" is reflected in the New Haven name and in its operating philosophy.
Over time, New Haven's commitment to a clinically sophisticated, team-based treatment approach evolved into the highly successful Family Works© model. At the core of New Haven's success with girls, however, is the caring approach of its staff. "We constantly ask ourselves 'would I want this for my own daughter?'" says current executive director, Dustin Tibbitts, who is a founding member of the New Haven team.
New Haven is part of the InnerChange family of therapeutic programs.
